The job entails creating and executing large scale, automated, searches for sensitive data across production mainframe and distributed computing platforms.

- Maintain acute awareness of production environment stability.

- Be resourceful and creative with a wide variety of available tools.

- Use regular expressions, text parsing, and data mining techniques to search for defined data patterns.

- Use data search tools, such as Vontu, and scripts written in Perl.

- Be comfortable working in a UNIX environment, primarily Linux.

- Write modular Perl scripts for parsing text and querying databases.

- Work with databases, such as Sybase, Oracle, DB2, ADABAS, and SQL Server.

Skills Required

- Critical thinking and problem solving.

- Attention to detail.

- Document and report writing.

- Decompose complex problems and tasks in to achievable goals.

- Navigating a large organization to find the people and resources needed to complete work assignments.

- Parsing and manipulating textual data with Perl, sed, awk, and other Unix tools.

- Data manipulation, analysis and reporting using text files, databases, and spreadsheets.

- Relational databases: Sybase, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server

- SQL queries across multiple databases.

- Data leakage products, specifically Vontu.

- Data analysis products, specifically Informatica Data Explorer and QlikView.
