JOB PURPOSE

Interactive Developer - AJAX and Site Development is responsible for developing interactive web based, mobile, and/or desktop applications using Sapient as well as Industry best practices to deliver high value and quality to Sapient clients

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Interactive Development

Multi-Discipline interaction

o IA / Creative
o Provide insight and feedback to Information Architects and Designers for usability and feasibility of interface designs.
o Technology
o Provide context and guidance for integration and implementation of Front End Interfaces

Development

o Translate wireframes, comps, and functional requirements into functional xhtml / css / Javascript
o Develop standards compliant markup and code
o xhtml
o CSS2 / CSS3
o Object Oriented Javascript / Jscript
o Develop according to Sapient and Industry best practices
o Search Engine Optimization
o Progressive Enhancement
o Accessibility (Section 508) o Cross Browser
o Execute component design patterns according to Sapient and Industry best practices
o MVC, SOA
o Use Sapient SA3 development methodology to track and deliver components.
o Integrated Development Environment o Source Code Control
o Develop Javascript using standard Frameworks
o jQuery
o Yahoo UI
o etc.

Service Integration

Data Interchange

o Define and parse valid data interchange structures to integrate with back end services
o XML, JSON, CSV, etc

Standard Project Tools

o Produce, re-purpose creative assets using toolsets like Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
o Use standard toolsets to develop, validate and test code

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

o Hands on experience XHTML, CSS
o Good to have- Javascript knowledge

Business Knowledge:

Domain experience would be a plus.
